Who we are

Momentum is a registered charity established in 2004 which aims to help children (up to the age of 17) and the families of children, undergoing treatment for cancer in Surrey and South West London. Momentum was set up by parents who have first hand experience of these life-changing events, with the simple goal of trying to help others in similar circumstances.

What we do

Momentum assists children undergoing treatment and their families in the following ways:

• Through the provision of equipment and the improvement of the facilities in local hospitals, where children undergoing cancer treatment will typically spend prolonged periods. Currently we are working with the Paediatric Department at Kingston Hospital.
• By organising events at which children with cancer and their siblings have the opportunity to meet with other children who share their circumstances.
• By offering mutual support for parents and families.
• Momentum is currently supporting children who are undergoing treatment at Kingston Hospital, St. George’s Hospital in Tooting, St. Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey, West Mids Hospital in Isleworth and The Royal Marsden Hospital in Surrey.
