Ibstock Place School raises further funds for Momentum
Momentum was very lucky once again, to be the nominated charity for Ibstock Place School this year. Natalie Harvey represented us at the Senior School’s beginning of year assembly on 1 September. Mia Melhuish and Hannah Lunt, Senior 8, and Louise Rogers, UVI, presented Natalie with a bumper-sized cheque for £4,334! Hannah and Mia were representing their House Tutor Group, Findlay I, which raised the most money of any House Group, on Ibstock's Momentum fund-raising day in June, by selling ice-creams and coke floats.
Louise Rogers raised several hundred pounds herself over the summer, from family, friends, pupils and staff who sponsored her successful attempt to climb Mount Kinabalu in Borneo, the highest peak in South East Asia.
Natalie Harvey explained to the Senior School pupils that the fund-raising efforts of pupils and parents at Ibstock Place School makes a real difference to the work Momentum can do, for very sick children in Kingston Hospital and their families. The money raised by Ibstock Palce School will go towards furnishing the new Momentum holiday home holiday home
